Meet Patience Yemisi

Hi! Welcome to The Plush Life! I currently live North of Dallas, born and raised in St. Louis, MO. I am a 30 something woman who loves make up, plus size fashion and most importantly self love. I started my self love journey a few years back which has culminated in the creation of this blog. I am not a certified writer nor do I have any degree in the subject, but it is something I have enjoyed doing since a very young age.

Confidence and self image are things that I have struggled with my entire life. It wasn’t until I started to take interest in ways to have fun with clothes no matter my size that I began on my journey to self love and acceptance. I then was introduced to the world of plus size fashion and bloggers. For once I saw women that I felt understood my story. It was a major step for me as a young woman to embrace my body for what it was. I was shown it was okay to love my body, not feel shame or apologize for what I physically look like while also wanting to be the best version of my self physically and mentally. The journey I started years ago has now now morphed into the ramblings and stories of life that I decided to share here in this space.

I’m a very complex person that wears her heart on her sleeve. I’m certainly a lover not a fighter. I’m a daughter. Sister. Friend. I can feel alone in a room full of people. I’m a complex being. A gentle spirit. I love with every ounce of my being. I am a lover of makeup, with my brows and bright lippie being my favorite accessories. I’m a self proclaimed comedian. I’ve been through some things and I’m still going through some things, and hopefully you will find some connection with me to continue to read.
