The Plush Life Turns Five
Today is my birthday!! I am winding down my much needed day off (I’m allergic to working on my birthday.) Today was beautiful – from the weather to my solo day around town. I tried a new breakfast spot, got my free bundt cake, and made sure to pick up flowers (aren’t they gorgeous?!) Not only is it my birthday but five years ago today I started my blog. I contemplated not even mentioning at all but I am documenting this personal milestone.
I recently saw an IG caption: Your progress doesn’t need to be seen or validated by other people. As I’ve said a million times – I started this blog for myself first and foremost. I hope that in some small way I’ve touched someone or made a difference but if I don’t I still know that I accomplished what I sought out to. I do think it is part of my calling to write and share my life journey somehow.
When I am here in my space it is easy. When I’m not here I miss it. I’ve grown, struggled, and excelled here. That is why I will never let it go. I won’t go on and on but damn it I am proud of myself for this even when it’s hard to celebrate it. This is a seemingly insignificant thing but for me it is everything.
