Living Out Loud featuring Loudmouth Lip Attire

After my post about my love for lippies, a loyal reader mentioned a lip line that I would love, and like the makeup junkie that I am I went directly to the site. I instantly got excited to see that the creator and owner of the brand is a woman of color! The name of the brand is Loudmouth, specializing in lip products. After reading the “About” section about owner Amber Parker I knew I would love her products. Amber is fellow MBA graduate who decided to make a business out of her love for fun bold colors. She affectionately named the line Loudmouth to describe her vibrant personality as well as the stand out lip offerings. As she states on her site – “Loudmouth is all about being expressive, courageous & unapologetically you!”

As I was looking at all the cool colors it dawned on me – everything that Loudmouth stands for is what I am trying to display through the creation of my blog. Striving to live life out loud without apologies for who I am is something that is important to me right now. Feeling free to have fun with makeup and clothes is a part of that living. With our similar views and our apparent shared love for lip colors I thought this would be the perfect collaboration!
I knew a look book showcasing what Amber has coined her lip attire would be fun but I didn’t want it to be just a any old thing. I thought it would be a great idea to have her pick a few of her favorites and I would create my looks around it. I didn’t want to be the one to pick the colors because I knew I would gravitate towards the same colors I always do. Taking the choice out of my own hands really was going to be a friendly push out of my comfort zone to try something new.

Brickhouse

I bought this shirt about a year ago. It was so out of my style but once I tried it on the sleeves did it for me. I had no clue how to wear it or where to. Thus it sat in my closet – until I got this beautiful copper lip frosting in the mail. Straight away it gave me 70’s vibes in the best way possible, not even noticing the name until afterwards. It reminded me of a shade my mom would wear back in the day but with a modern glossy twist. With a pair of light wash skinny jeans instead of flares I see myself out in this look again very soon. I never would have picked this color for myself but it was the perfect accent for the fun top.

Out Of Office

I have mentioned before that purple is my favorite color – in general and in lip colors. I have a few different shades I go for but I have never tried a true purple. Coincidentally Ms. Amber happened to pick it as one of the colors. On first application I was a bit nervous. It was PURPLE yall! But as it stated to settle and I completed my look it all came together. Such a bold, beautiful color needed a soft look to balance it out. This bodysuit is so feminine with the off the shoulder and ruffle detail. The lace shorts play more like a skirt due to the flow of them and are a great touch. I felt super pretty and by the time I was finished with the look I was not intimidated by the purple anymore.

Bulletproof

This color was probably the one that was the most outside of my comfort zone. I thought it was going to be the easiest for me to pull off but it wasn’t. Although a gorgeous color I think the cool tone of it is not what I am used to. I wanted to do a casual look with this because this is a laid back color. Paired with a black swing dress and my tried but true white leather chucks for a more worn in look, the longer I had the color on the more I started to like it. So much so, that I decided to keep this look on the rest of the day.

Loudmouth lip attire has made a lasting impression on me. The products I tried were very moisturizing, containing nourishing shea butter. Two of the colors were glosses. I don’t wear many glosses because of the sticky consistency but these were not at all. You get the shine with a cream feel. The last color is a new formula for Loudmouth. I love matte lips however they are often times so uncomfortable to wear. So when Amber let me know about her matte I was excited to try. I can honestly say it is amazing! It is so pigmented and gives a great matte finish. It is super comfortable and stayed on through eating and drinking as well as being out in the hot Dallas sun shooting pictures. Although it did not budge it was not difficult at all to remove – no harsh scrubbing needed!

So there you have it – Three looks with three colors I never would have picked on my own. This was so fun to put together. I wasn’t to thank Amber for working with me. It is always refreshing to see fellow women deciding to live life on their own terms and Loudmouth is a representation of that. She has something major here! Please go check out her amazing lip frostings at the site here. You can also check out Loudmouth on Instagram and Facebook. Find a color that you wouldn’t normally wear and live out loud – stepping out of your comfort zone can be scary but also very satisfying.

Special shout out to my bestie for being my photographer for this one. Your check is in the mail lol.
