Self Care September 2019

Yes!  We are closing in on one of my favorite seasons – FALL! I miss the Midwest fall season with the leaves changing the most beautiful colors and the crisp air. Here in Texas it just goes from extremely hot to mild temps. Although the effect isn’t the same, it is officially fall in my heart yall and I am ready for all my favorite things – cardigans, vampy lip colors and fall decor.

I dedicated last September to self-care for the first time. I love this self-care movement that’s going on and the vast ways that people are choosing to define self-care. So, to get a tradition going I’m bringing the series back. We are comping up on that time of year where emotions are going to run high. We will be super distracted and busy with the holidays. If we don’t deliberately set personal time aside, it simply won’t happen.

Starting this month and continuing the remaining of the year I want to focus being intentional with my mind and mental health. Your mental health effects so many aspects of your life and I feel this year has tested my mental in ways that haven’t happened in a while. I will be focusing on incorporating things back into my life or things that I haven’t explored yet. Going into my thirties I want to take a different approach. I genuinely feel my mind is needs a new work out plan. I’m looking forward to seeing where this and the coming months take me. The next few posts I will break down what I plan on exploring. Get ready to celebrate Self-Care September with me!

I want to know down below: What is your favorite season and why? What is one thing you intend to incorporate into your personal Self-Care September?

    Hello,

What is your favorite season and why? I love summer months! The why is easy. I hate being cold! Being a lupus patient, cold weather often triggers a yucky feeling that’s hard to shake. Aches and pains can be characteristic daily, and that makes me long for warmth.

What is one thing you intend to incorporate into your personal Self-Care September? This go around, more sleep! Although at 55 I feel 40, my body is reminding me balance is necessary. Lol So, I’m being mindful to rest and relax more.

Look forward to see your vampy fall colors!
Have a blessed rest of the week.

There is something SO beautiful about seeing those leaves change, I love it! Yoga!!! I started doing yoga earlier this year, feel off during Spring and Summer but definitely want to get back to it. It’s one of the hidden gem workouts. Thanks for participating!

Fall is my favorite season too! Cozy sweaters and leggings are my fave. For self-care, I’ll be focusing on writing my second book. I’m always happiest when I’m working towards and accomplishing my goals. Also, hanging with family.
