Fall Fashion
It’s my favorite time of year yall!! I love both Spring and Fall but if I had to choose Fall is definitely in the top spot. Of course with living in Texas it doesn’t feel like we are nearing the last few months of year weather wise but we have arrived!
Not only do I love the weather this time of year it also my favorite fashion season. The rich colors and thick cozy fabrics draw me in. I was randomly thinking about clothes this week and something in me wanted to try to make some fashion boards. I have never considered myself fashionable but fashion to me is about how YOU feel about the clothing. When you take the time to put items together that you love and feel good in the outfit comes to life. I’ve never done this before so don’t be laughing at my boards and if you do…just keep it to yourself lol. I am in need of a serious refresh of my closet especially because I work from home. I don’t get super dressed up during the week but want to do better in the coming months to put myself together – even if I don’t see a single human in the day. Fall fashion is great because with just a few additions you can transition from Summer easily.
One thing that I love more than feeling cute is being comfortable. Loungewear is such a thing now and I’m here for it. Having cute sets makes it easy to look put together without having to put much effort into it especially when you don’t plan on leaving the house. Paired with super soft slippers (ask my mama I don’t play about my house slippers) you are ready for an unexpected guest – but please do not show up to my or anyone’s house unannounced lol.
Cardigans!!! They are great pieces to have that can add an additional layer to an outfit. Here I have the the base simple with a white bodysuit and black jeans. You can do anything with that. Bringing in the cardigan warms it up but can also be swapped for a jean or leather moto jacket for a different look. Can we talk about boots though? I never feel like it is true boot season here until well into January but I am ready to put some on now!
Now let me start by saying this – I have never been on a proper date that would require or allow me to dress up like this but baby I really want to purchase this entire thing to have in the closet for when that day comes LOL. This really can be worn most of the year but with the leather jacket it gives an edgy feel to a very sexy look. A bold lip is a must with an all black look in my opinion. The lipstick is Instigator by M.A.C. and it is my absolute favorite dark color – which I just found out is discontinued while looking for a picture of it for this board and I cried a little on the inside. So now I have to keep the one I have for the rest of my life lol.
So…this one is the “I want to be cool but I’m not” board. I’ve been seeing a few of the girlies wearing camo pants and I wanna be down. I know literally nothing about tennis shoes either so I just put together what looked cute to me and an outfit that I want to push myself to try. Now crewneck sweatshirts in the Fall are my jam so I definitely have a few of those in my closet. Also my obsession with graphic tees I think will always be a thing. I would definitely add the sweatshirt to the tee and biker shorts and be ready to be out the door. These looks are simple but really cute. I want to be the girl that does the athleisure effortlessly but I don’t know how. I’m gonna work on that.
